Savannah National Wildlife Refuge
Photo of Week 22
The Savannah National Wildlife Refuge, some six miles north of historic Savannah, consists of some 29,000 acres of former rice farms. It was established in 1927. Seems like many birds have found this refuge along the Savannah river.
This rich and beautiful place is a great place to watch and photograph birds and other wildlife as well as the many scenic places, plants and flowers. I hope to visit there often.
