POW-23 Black Vulture

Black Vulture

Black Vulture

Black VultureWe don’t get out into the wild areas enough, so some of the creatures, it seems, will take pity on us and come to visit us at our home. The most recent visitors were black vultures. Note the concerned and inquisitive look. Of course, maybe it was just the “you are still alive?” look.

For a bit more on this story, visit my other post over at Café Ludwig: The Weekly Photo (Week 23) – Vultures.

  1. Wow, Ludwig, that first image is spectacular! You actually made the bird beautiful. LOL But are great shots of a most important creature, one of nature’s sanitation squad.

    1. That photo is a pride and joy, but a very lucky break. I was most surprised that the vultures allowed me to approach so closely, even walk around them so I could line up the best background. They really are beautiful birds. I don’t recall seeing photos of them showing the light fuzzy hairs on their heads. The remind me of British barristers.
